Not having a passport does not automatically mean you have to put your vacation plans on hold.

1. Take a Closed-Loop Cruise From a U.S. Port
A closed-loop cruise begins and ends at the same U.S. port. For example, you might leave from Miami, visit several Caribbean destinations, and return to Miami.
U.S. citizens traveling on certain closed-loop cruises may be permitted to use proof of citizenship, such as a government-issued birth certificate, along with a government-issued photo ID for travelers age 16 and older. However, requirements may vary by itinerary and cruise line.
Cruises can be a convenient choice because your accommodations, meals, entertainment, and transportation between destinations are included in one vacation.
